...amnesia? What's "a little while" supposed to mean?
third_alternative: (oh. there's consequences. oh no.)

When did it start?

...what'd he do after he remembered?
third_alternative: (go on i'm listening)

What'd he do?

Forgetting right when he needed to disappear...that's a lucky coincidence.
third_alternative: (uhhh...sure?)

[ hmm!! ]

So he...returned to his old life once he remembered?

How'd that go?
third_alternative: (uhhhh here is how i'm NOT guilty)

Huh. Good for him, I guess.

[ he does sound like he doesn't quite get it, though

anyway, Rex will conveniently shift and kick a shard on the ground, sending them both into another memory. (18:12 - 20:00)

You're ready to just dust Quarry and be done with it, especially when he starts running his mouth again. God, what a smug jerk--mouthing off about not being ruthless enough when you're the one who's rendered him one breath away from complete destruction and are just about ready to land the final blow.

Then again, though, maybe he is right, because you feel the usual Breach shivers and, ah, at least all the pieces of this completely bungled mission are coming back together. Which is just perfect, actually, with that little bit of security video leverage you've got.

In fact...this might be even better than you planned.

Breach gets to save face with her boss, Van Kleiss gets a scapegoat to tear into, Circe's back with the gang, and your mission gets to wrap up neatly with a pretty bow on top.

And Quarry...well, what do you care what happens to him? A dead Quarry in the hands of your enemy is better than a live one in the hands of your boss. Everyone gets to come away happy. ]

...it worked out, in the end.

At least I managed to make up for leading to Circe getting kidnapped in the first place.
