Ah. Ahhh. [He taps at his chin, his expression creasing into a thoughtful one.] Now that is something difficult to ask.
[But answer, he will. He snaps his fingers.]
For one, I can vouch for Miss Susato and Mr. Van Zieks. They are ones I personally know, and both are strong in their moral character and unwilling to deceive. Now, for the rest...
[And drawing back to a thoughtful expression.]
The rest, of course, I cannot vouch for. Some of them have stronger moral characters than most, however. I can say...if I were you, I would hedge my bets on relying on Mr. Kaburagi, the Lieutenant, and Xie Lian. I have talked to them enough to get a sense of their characters. The rest, while some nicer than others...I am less sure of, though this doesn't mean they're not reliable in their own ways. There are factors there I cannot see, and things that could persuade them to act out differently than they present themselves.
Van Zieks doesn't seem to like you very much, but he did say he knew you for a while. He does seem like a serious guy.
[...Van Zieks may be one of the few people Revali would kind of believe won't go stab someone in the middle of the night for any reason]
Those three...while I agree with your judgment about Kitsuragi, are the other two really worth relying on?
[Apparently Kotetsu's...everything makes Revali hesitate, hah. Xie Lian is someone Revali already respects, but he's not sure if he likes just how...straightforward? He can be? Just walking to Revali and immediately saying they're friends?]
He is most indeed a very serious gentleman, but I have seen his true character. He is one who holds very strongly to his ideals. He simply isn't very overly friendly, for numerous reasons.
[He may be a troll who is a nuisance to Van Zieks always, but he does respect the man, in his own way.]
Yes, I would say so. They both have...it is difficult to say, but talking to them, I would say that they are people who are similar in that they are dedicated entirely to doing the right thing. They look out for others, and not only that, but they are men who would gladly put themselves in front of others. As far as character...they're ones I would look to for reliability.
[Revali nods. Despite everything, he considers coming to ask Sholmes about his opinion was a decent decision]
I suppose I should thank you for your opinions on this regard. As you may have guessed already, I'm not one to go talking to people pointlessly. Figuring out what's beyond the surface is not something I can do with ease.
[To put it lightly! Ah, the woes of playing someone who is both arrogant as all hell and doesn't really go hanging out with others]
