[A small change in his expression, his eyes focusing.]

...Could I ask you a quick question, my dear fellow? What was the ability on the coin you received last week?

[He frowns, and feels in his pocket as if to check... but doesn't pull the coin out. He doesn't actually need to look at it.]

To my knowledge, it's something that can cause someone to hear a noise that no one else can. I don't think it serves any purpose other than being a nuisance, so I haven't used it.

Mm. That's...not surprising. All of those abilities seem to be rather useless, or remarkably ordinary.

[He's frowning.]

Nothing as grand as...being able to change the feelings of another quite drastically.

Does it? I know they were behind one ill-timed prank, but I would not be surprised to find out that there are more "pranksters" among us. Especially with so many teenagers...

Well, I'm certainly a great detective, and my adventures and deductions entertain and bring awe to all, but a love affair? Are they quite daft?
