I did, yes. I'm still working on compiling what I learned into a comprehensive report... [read: we're still backtagging lol] but I was able to identify a few misconceptions we had, that may have misled us during the trial. As well as some weaknesses in our investigative efforts that will need to be improved upon for next time.
Not enough people following up on checks, for one. I handled looking over people's weapons and belongings, but... searching 30 people is a bit much for one person, under those time constraints. I believe I overlooked some things. Some things were missed in the strip check, too.
But the real problem was that we didn't follow up on the evidence that was retrieved for us. Power said she found "blue dust" on the handle of a knife, which led to much theorizing about what could cause Dust to be blue instead of gold... [He shakes his head.] I think that if, instead of trading hypotheses, we had simply examined the knife in question more closely, we may have found that it was not Dust at all, but something else.
Ah.....so you think it was a substance that resembled Dust, but wasn't in fact that. A solid hypothesis. I can't say I was at all active for that, but I did find the mention of that in Miss Susato's notes rather intriguing...
[And a tilt of the head.]
With three murders, it would not be unusual to be misled by multiple sets of evidence mixed all into one. Especially when...it is suggested that some evidence was placed there to framr Mr. Suigetsu.
[BASED ON ME BEING DUMB AND LEARNING ONLY DEEP INTO THIS THREAD THAT THE SKULL WAS ACTUALLY 20 FEET TALL I HAVE RETCONNED THIS INTO A SMALL YET LARGE BOULDER LIKE 9-10 FEET TALL THANK YOU WE BRING YOU BACK TO THE EVENTS OF THIS THREAD]
Here. Something I heard from a little bird...maybe you are already aware of it. But I quote: "All things are made of Dust and Dust is everywhere, but only angels are made of pure Dust."
Someone else found this in one of the first cities.
[And since Sholmes is looking at the page, he can see the full passage that Kim has copied:
Angel is the name of their office, not of their nature. If you seek the name of their nature, it is spirit; if you seek the name of their office, it is angel; from what they are, spirit, from what they do, angel.

[He will, however, come a little closer so it's easier to talk.]

If you'd like me to join you on solid ground, just say the word. [And a smile.] By the by...did you talk to Mr. Suigetsu?

[He tilts his head.]
Weaknesses...how?

[A sigh...]
Anyway, I don't suppose you've learned anything interesting on your end, lately?
no subject
[He clears his throat.]
Actually, do stand back. Let me get down. I do tire from talking from such a great height, even though I'm a great height myself! Ahaha!
no subject
[He steps back.]
Do be careful.
no subject
Alright...and hup!
[And he...jumps down! And lands!]
Ta-daa!
[He bows.]
Eh? Did you think I looked awesome, Lieutenant?
no subject
[Kim closes his eyes, relieved that that very thing didn't just happen.]
Yes, sure. Very disco.
no subject
........Hm? What's "disco"?
no subject
You were saying, about something interesting you learned?

Here. Something I heard from a little bird...maybe you are already aware of it. But I quote: "All things are made of Dust and Dust is everywhere, but only angels are made of pure Dust."

No, I haven't heard that before.
Curious...
[He flips back to read something else in the notebook.]
no subject
...Lieutenant, what is it? It reminded you of something?
no subject
[Looking at his notes.]
It said that "angel" is the name of their station. That it's not what they are, but what they do...
no subject
[He glances down at the other's notes.]
Where did you read about them before?

Oh, goodness. Now these are interesting...but they do pose their own rather terrible omen, don't they...
