[As soon as the curse hit, of course van Zieks was struck with an insurmountable need to find the blasted man. After looking a fair few places, it struck him that an overgrown garden maze was exactly the sort of absurd location London's great detective would haunt. He's able to make short work of the task of navigation, with Adelheid flying just overhead, but as soon as he comes upon Sholmes, she dives down, shifting into a cat form so that she can trot over to Irene, rubbing up against her, purring.

Van Zieks is more sedate, almost conflicted, his expression set in its usual frown.]

[He most certainly is here, languidly smoking on his pipe as Van Zieks walks up - he only glances up when Adelheid speeds ahead, and Irene snuffles at the other as they make contact.]

[The blush surprises him, and he can't help but let out a light chuckle.]

In any case, between being used to taking the lead and being out of practice, van Zieks is a little unsteady on his feet at first. He manages to find his bearings after a moment.]
