[When Spike approaches, it's with a bat roosting on his shoulder, he just drops himself down in the chair opposite the detective, raising up a bottle of his own.]
No need! Got my own refreshments.
No need! Got my own refreshments.
Don't think you wanna tell him that.
[He pours himself a glass of fresh blood, and using ingridients he's managed to scrounge up, he adds a lemon slice, a straw, and one of those little umbrellas.] Right, right. I came for a story.

[He can tell that's supposed to be a big deal, and the part of him that's still William Pratt does recognize the authority behind the position.
The rest of him remembers the amount of government officials he and the squad have brutally murdered.]
That'll cause some chaos.

There's a certain cleverness to that. As a fellow monster, I gotta give credit where it's due. [He just sort of hums consideringly. The chaos and discord that comes immediately after someone so major is taken off the board is what most interests him about this scenario.]
Still, can't respect any nit who refuses to get his hands dirty. You said he thought he was actually playing the hero, yeah? Pfft.

[CHAOS, ANARCHY, BLOOD, DISCORD, REBELLION. FEEL THE THRILL OF THE KILL IN YOUR VEINS HERLOCK SHOLMES.]
Heh. Self-righteous wanker.
[He also leans back, taking a sip from his lemon blood.] Sounds like fun, gotta say. Normally, we don't really do the whole... arrest thing. We normally just have to figure out how to kill whatever nasties need killing.
You do that a lot? Kicking people down a notch?

You know, Angel's a vampire detective nowadays. Or he was till he became a monk in Tibet or whatever the fuck he's doing over there. Normally what he deals with is just evil lawyers, apparently.
[Sort of just sighs and leans back, taking a sip of his blood.]
Well, you're not grim and boring, so you're definitely a step up in that regard.

I thought it was ridiculous too, don't you worry. I asked him if he was planning on dabbling in becoming a vampire bellarina and he wouldn't even consider it, the nit.
[He swirls his straw through the cup of blood and raises an amused eyebrow at Sholmes.]
But I thought you and Zieks knew eachother beforehand?

Don't worry, I won't tell him you spilled his secrets to me. He's a vampire until someone tells me otherwise.
[He gives Sholmes a wink reserved for fellow Zieks terrorizers.]

She'll survive.
[He doesn't really acknowledge Sholmes' presence, other than that reply and a slight twitch of his eye.]
She's a tough one. I'd be more worried about the garden gnome twins, I think she might just kill him herself seeing how bloody worried he made her. [There's a small smile on his face at that.]

Yeah.
[He's not sure how to talk about Nine. On the one hand, he can't bring himself to care about the guy, on the other, he doesn't want his head bitten off. Sholmes isn't a judgemental person but still.]
Reckon this is gonna be a weekly occurance from now on, hmm?

Baraqiel mentioned they've got a set of motives to keep their people cooperating with what the watchers ask of them. I imagine when they told me that they didn't quite realise exactly what kind of game we were playing.
I imagine all of them have caught up to that now. Divide and conquer. I pulled a similar strategy about a year and a half ago. Probably means they want us all to be at eachother's throats too.
[He just hums in contemplation and flicks his cigarette down into the street below after he pulled it one last time.]

My, uh... [He frowns before crossing his arms and leaning against the balcony somwhat stiffly.] "friends" and I didn't always get along. Used to be enemies, then strictly an alliance of circumstance, with a mutual understanding that given the chance I'd escape and bite the lot of them.
There was this one pretentious poetry spouting twit named Adam, and he offered to give me that chance. I was pretty desperate at the time, so I took it. Had a friendly chat with all of them, subtly attacked their insecurities and the things they secretly resented one another for, all so Adam could roll them over. [He smiles, like this is just an old funny story.] You'd think they'd kill me afterward but I saved 'em at the last minute so they kept me around. Now, uh... I'm bound to them by a lot more than circumstance.
If you got the power to bring these people here, you got the power to profile them first, you know? So it's as simple as dividing them up between people who are naturally inclined to trust one another enough to form an Us Vs Them mentality with the other side, but not enough that they won't save their skin when the time comes.
